What to do before a tick bite?

Once a tick hits us, it will seek to reach the hot and humid places of our body: armpits, groin and scalp, and once it adheres, it will begin to suck our blood, "says the National Library of Medicine of the United States.

To eliminate a tick:

  1. Do not take it with your hands: Use gloves, toilet paper or tweezers.
  2. Once you remove it, wash the area with soap and water.
  3. Avoid using hot objects: cigar, oil, alcohol, Vaseline, acetone ...

If the bite is accompanied by fever, headache, joint pain, swollen glands or red spots, it is important that you go to the doctor as soon as possible.
