We are all unique and different

On repeated occasions, whether we are men or women, we tend to compare ourselves with others although we know that we are all different. And although this is part of human nature, it can become a negative habit Y self-destructive .

The comparisons that we usually make are both physically and intellectually, and although in most cases we do it from way unconscious If we repeat it constantly, we will damage our self esteem in a serious way; but How can you avoid comparing yourself to someone else?

According to a study published by the University of Colorado , in Boulder, whose author is the sociologist Tim Wadsworth , we continue measuring our satisfaction comparing ourselves with others and not so much for what we feel should be our life.

Wadsworth makes special note in the relative character of happiness, compared to absolute values. He mentions that it is widely known that factors such as income, well-being in marriage, sex and others influence the perceived happiness , which may be altered in our assessment.

1.- Pay attention. To change the bad habit to make comparisons of your life, physical or belonged you must begin to become aware of how many times you do it a day. This way when you "caches" you can change your thoughts.

2.- We are all different. Remember that from our birth we are genetically organized differently, so it is a waste of time to focus on physical details that you can not change as the stature or the color of the eyes.

3.- Be more considerate of yourself. Many times when we are comparing ourselves with a person we usually measure their strengths with those who are weak for us and that is not fair.

4.- Value what you have. This advice is not focused on the things matters (which are important), it is with respect to the global aspects of your life: love yourself with your limitations, know your strengths, love your loved ones, your activities such as work or hobbies.

5.- Be happy, no matter what you do. If with the comparisons that you have made so far, you feel that you can improve certain aspects, work on them and try to make them feel better every day. Learning something new always makes us happy.
