Time to leave the Internet?

Have you ever wondered how many hours do you spend a day in front of your computer, tablet or laptop screen and how does it affect your daily life? Is it possible that the digital life is the cause of the obesity, emotional and social problems that we live on a daily basis?

Mexicans spend more time on the Internet (4 hours a day) than on television according to a Study of Digital Media Consumption, which was done by IAB Mexico ; but it is possible that this scenario is about to change.

As part of an experiment, which was sponsored by the technodiario The Verge, Paul Miller a 26-year-old man who had an intense digital life decided to take a year off from Internet or any related technology.

The result, at first, was that Paul lost weight, wrote in a few weeks half a book, read a lot, played frisbee, rode a bicycle and people constantly remarked his good looks.

His concentration improved markedly, much more often he managed to 'live the moment' and was much more attentive to the needs of the people around him.

However, over time all these activities decreased to become a state of boredom and lack of creativity. According to Paul, the bad habits we detect in us are not at all exclusive to online life.

The Internet as everything in life must be taken with measure, since all excess is negative. Remember, everything is necessary, it's just a matter of seeing priorities.
