Within the framework of the presentation of the first Antiemetic Management Guidelines in our country, the doctor Erazo Valle , Deputy Director of Teaching and Research of the National Medical Center November 20 , indicated that "although there are international guidelines for the management of nausea Y emesis , the need to communicate updated criteria and concepts adapted to the context of our country resulted in the development of the document ".

The Mexican Society of Oncology (SMeO) assumed the commitment to develop clinical practice guidelines based on evidence and convened a group of distinguished physicians in different areas, all of them with extensive experience in the management of antiemetics , with the purpose of preparing the document, a useful reference in clinical practice.

The doctor Erazo Valle indicated that these effects caused by the chemotherapy can be avoided in more than 80% of cases, however, the success of their control depends on the patient receiving antiemetic treatment from the first cycle of chemotherapy ”.

For her part, the doctor Guadalupe García , specialist attached to Radiotherapy Service of the National Medical Center November 20 , explained that "each patient has a special characteristic, that depending on their neoplasia It has a previous surgical treatment that can condition a partial or total obstruction of the bladder, esophagus, stomach, and this is a factor that will trigger our threw up .
