They link infertility with poor oral health

A recently published study, conducted in Asutralia found, that in 3 thousand 500 women with gum diseases, they delay until seven months to get pregnant, two more than average. They concluded that poor dental health is so bad for the fertility as the obesity .

The cause is the inflammation , which if not controlled can trigger reactions capable of altering the normal functioning of the body.

The severe periodontal diseases , which in Europe affect around 10% of the population, had already been linked to heart problems, to type 2 diabetes and miscarriage, and to the poor quality of sperm in men.

Researchers suggest that women who seek to become pregnant take care of their dental health , in addition to quitting tobacco, alcohol, avoiding overweight and taking folic acid.
