Suicide doubles in the world

The suicide is a public health problem that generates many emotional conflicts , not only for those who carry it out, but also for relatives, friends or people close to the victim.

According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) registered one million suicides per year, and it is estimated that by 2020, this figure could rise to 1.5 million. In Mexico, from 1990 to 2010, the number of suicides doubled.

In order to prevent this problem, the next September 10 will be held on World Day for the Prevention of Suicide , organized by WHO and the International Association for the Prevention of Suicide (IASP). For this reason, in some countries and regions, such as Jalisco, prevention programs against this scourge will be reinforced.

The Crisis Intervention Center of the Health Services of Zapopan , just like him Jalisco Institute of Mental Health , will hold the Second Health Fair "Zapopan Sanamente", which includes activities for the welfare of the family and society.
