Option for all

According to the doctor, in spite of the multiple dispositions that have been issued around the issue of childbirth, most hospitals contravene the Official Mexican Norm on childbirth care that states: the woman can be placed in the position that always requires that there is no medical contraindication.

However, in many hospitals, doctors refuse to stop practicing childbirth in the supine position , even when the women themselves ask for the vertical position for cultural and biological reasons.

Between the advantage which offers vertical and traditional delivery, in the entities where it is practiced, is the reduction of up to 60% in the number of caesarean sections, in addition to a faster and simpler labor for women.
