According to the dermato-oncologist, prevention and timely detection are key to coping with this type of cancer, so the best recommendation is to perform self-exams and go to the specialist if changes in the skin are observed.

A self-examination of the skin should be performed at least 3 times a year to verify that there are no alterations or the presence of suspicious signs or changes in moles or pigmented spots, for which the "ABCDE rule ”:

D. Diameter . Increase in the diameter of the mole or spot greater than 6 mm.
E. Evolution . Any rapid change in the appearance of the stain (shape, size, thickness, color) is an alarm signal.

Also, according to the detection site of skincare.mx, you should pay special attention if you have clear skin, eyes and hair and tans with difficulty; if you have more than 50 moles, congenital or atypical; family history of melanoma, or severe burns from childhood.
