Scope of alternative therapy

The alternative medicine it is a different practice from the conventional one, which has science as a tool for study and research in the face of different pathologies.

It is defined as a set of health care systems, practices and medical treatments that are not considered part of the traditional medicine .

Some alternative therapies they have the scientific endorsement of their effectiveness, but many others have not yet been analyzed in depth by science, and therefore lack studies that support them.

Alternative medicine is used in conjunction with conventional medicine. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) classifies alternative medicine and complementary medicine into five groups:

1. Alternative medical systems such as homeopathy , Chinese medicine , Bach flowers .

2. Body and mental interventions: relaxation , concentration Y display .

3. Methods of manipulation such as massage.

4. Biological therapies such as herbal preparations .

5. Energy therapies .
