Between 12 and 14 years begins a stage in which the autonomy and the ability to adaptation to society. In childhood, most behaviors are inadequate or lacking in maturity ; However, as there is a progressive development, the norms become more explicit and an adequate behavior is requested.

On the side of mothers and the parents it is not about planning large formalisms or rigid situations, as the book mentions "Educate in the community and in the family" of María Jesús Comellas, rather it should be observed how the behavioral patterns and the social skills proper to the age are internalized, without so much permissiveness to childish behaviors, because it is a time of more stable and adequate responses.

In addition, the book emphasizes the importance of fostering the ability of observation, reasoning and self-control to better adapt to each of the contexts in which activities will be developed, encourage communication, analysis and promote understanding.

This analysis does not mean that everyone should be a friend but that the possibility of different levels of relationship, proximity and rapport is understood, which does not imply rejection, aggressiveness (verbal or otherwise) or inappropriate attitudes (contempt, contempt, ridicule etc.).
