Orange or coral pink?

Only 25% of people can distinguish absolutely all the colors . This is due to the number of cells that the eyes have to perceive the tones, regardless of the intensity of light that exists in the place, but how many of these tones can you remember?

According to a study of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore , the brain can distinguish millions of colors , but people are unable to remember specific tones.

Orange or coral pink?

The researchers say that it is possible to distinguish tonalities like navy blue or overseas, but when it comes to remembering, everything is included in blue.

"The brain remembers colors as categories, as well as a continuous series of nuances, but it combines these representations to produce a memory," specifies Jonathan Flombaum, a cognitive psychologist at the university.

Does the shape of the object matter?

However, another study published in the journal Psychological Science details that the form influences the perception of colour .

"There are certain neuronal mechanisms in the brain that establish what color belongs to which object."

That is, the brain is able to integrate the multiple characteristics of an object (shape, color, location and speed) into a unified whole. And you, how many tonalities can you remember at this moment?
