The composer Nick Ashford , who suffered from cancer of the throat , died at 70 years of age, in a hospital in New York, said his representative and friend Liz Rosenberg to The Associated Press.
Ashford , next to his wife Valerie Simpson , was the author of great musical successes, such as Is not No Mountain Enough Y I'm Every Woman.
Nick Ashford fought against Cancer and was treated for this disease by means of radiotherapy . However, he lost his life. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
