One possible answer is this: instead of spending time, money and effort with a diet that does not make sense, we must adapt to a new way of life more moderate and sustained by natural, fresh foods and by a balanced diet.

Some specialists like doctors Xavier Formiguera , President of the Spanish Society for the Study of Obesity in Spain (SEEDO) and Susana Monereo , Head of Endocrinology and Nutrition at the University Hospital of Getafe (Madrid), reveal some myths about what slimming Y fatten .

Lies that agree to clarify

1.The metabolism changes with the years : False. It only changes when an illness occurs. Lifestyle changes, sedentary lifestyle or poor eating habits.

2.From the age of 35, it becomes more easily fattened : False. As in the previous answer, what usually changes is the way of living. There is a time when you stop exercising, people spend more time without activities or feverishly give themselves to work; you eat more and you burn less calories.

3.It is convenient to avoid carbohydrates . False. In every meal there must be food such as pasta, bread or cereals, so as not to get fat and so that the satiety mechanism is well regulated. The problem of spaghetti is not the pasta, but the four cheese sauce with which it is seasoned.

4.A chubby child is healthier . False. This is the mother of all lies, especially in Mexico. An obese child will be more likely to become an obese adult and your body will be more vulnerable to serious illness.

Already in the fifth century BC, Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, said: "Let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food".
