More than 29 thousand 825 beneficiaries of the program

With the objective of taking care of the health and well-being of Mexican children, the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation of Mexico presents the 15th Golf Tournament, which will take place next May 27, at the Bosque Real Golf Club, in the State from Mexico.

The funds raised in this sporting event will go to projects of the foundation such as the Ronald McDonald Houses and the Family Rooms; while the participants will be able to take prizes that add nearly two million pesos, which are provided by the sponsoring companies.

At a press conference, Félix Ramírez, director of corporate communication North-Latin America division of McDonald's , ensures that the company has a social commitment to benefit Mexican children, as it is a sustainable company.

"We would not understand the progress of a company like McDonald's without supporting the communities where we operate," says Félix Ramírez.

 

More than 29 thousand 825 beneficiaries of the program

One of the objectives of the two Ronald McDonald Houses is to shelter low-income children who come from the Interior of the Republic to Mexico City to receive specialized medical treatment.

On average, the two houses host an average of 270 families per month, benefiting more than 29,825 families.

On the other hand, in Family Rooms , a joint program with the Ministries of Health and Public Education, supports hospitalized children to continue their studies and provides a comfortable and quiet place for parents.

This type of spaces has helped two thousand 366 children and more than six thousand 982 classes have been taught.

Carlos del Real, executive director of the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation, explains that almost 80% of the children who benefit from the services of the houses come from the Telethon; however, other institutions or hospitals may propose candidates.
