Migraine is prevented with physical activity

Carrying out an aerobic exercise program has been as effective as medicines to mitigate and prevent the frequency of migraines , according to researchers from the Headache Center Headache, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The study evaluated the state of migraine , the absorption of oxygen , adverse effects and quality of life of 91 patients, of which one third were asked to cycle three times a week, while the rest were given topiramate, an antiepileptic drug that is also prescribed to prevent this type of headache .

The result of this program was that thanks to the physical activity , like cycling, could reduce the number and intensity of migraines , as well as the decrease in the use of the drug with which they mitigated them.
