Meatloaf, rich and nutritious

It is not about making a plan for Saturday or Sunday, but to take advantage of the food that has been left over the week to "reinvent" new dishes. Therefore, we propose an exquisite recipe to make a delicious cake of minced meat and rice.

Ingredients and preparation

You can make this succulent dish with some remains of minced meat, like leftover meatballs or hamburgers.

Cooking with fresh minced or ground meat is better. You need a bowl of rice, half a kilo of minced meat, an egg, an onion, a big piece of hard bread, 150 grams of diced cheese, a red pepper in small squares, salt, pepper, spicy paprika or paprika, butter or margarine and four slices or slices of bacon.

The rice is cooked at the 'dente' and it is quickly passed through the tap of the cold water, then let it drain.
Then dip the bread and when it is completely soaked, squeeze it very well to place it in a large bowl.

Incorporate the meat, chopped onion, cheese, pepper and egg. Add salt, pepper and a pinch of paprika. Mix all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous dough to which the rice is added.

 

Put it to bake

Once you have all the ingredients incorporated, it is necessary to spread on a refractory for oven, butter, add the dough of rice and meat.

Then cover it with the four strips of bacon and a few pieces of butter in small balls, in places that are not covered by bacon.

Bake for 50 minutes at a high temperature first and then at about 200º, until the meat is cooked and the bacon crispy. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the cake, depending on the shape of the refractory
