Many men hear the word marriage fills them with fear and anguish, without knowing that the marital relationship will favor a good state of health for many years.

Researchers from Harvard University point out that married men are healthier than single men , they even have a greater predisposition to die with advanced age.

When it comes to choosing a partner, men married to intellectually prepared women have a lower mortality rate than those who live with uneducated women.

And if the heart is concerned, single men are three times more likely to suffer cardiovascular disease, even taking into account the main vascular risk factors such as age, weight, body fat, smoking, diabetes and cholesterol married men have a death rate 46% lower than singles.

 

Cancer and marriage

There is no evidence that married men are less exposed to cancer than single men, but the study indicates that married men who were diagnosed with this disease reacted better to treatment, due to the emotional support they find in their partners and children.

Married men have a lower risk of suffering from depression and a greater likelihood of life satisfaction, maintaining a marital relationship has also been linked to better cognitive function, so the risks of Alzheimer's are also reduced.

Married men are healthier than single men because it has a defined life ideology, which they share with their loved ones, although it should be noted that men who face widowhood have depression and are more susceptible to contracting sexually transmitted diseases.
