Less marriages, more couples?

The statistics of most Latin American countries show that there are fewer and fewer marriage ceremonies. The other side of the coin is that more people are looking for a life partner through online dating sites.

Some time ago, the media made known the curious news that Colombia had become the country in the world with the least marriages . Paradoxically, there was also a decrease in the number of divorces.

Meanwhile, in Argentina, a recent report from the General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses of the city of Buenos Aires shows that the number of certificates of coexistence exceeds for the first time marriages in the Federal Capital.

In Mexico, the tendency to decrease weddings is similar to the rest of Latin America: the Federal District registers a decrease of 14% cent in marriage marriage ceremonies.

In Chile, according to results of the study "Living together - reflections on coexistence in Chile" it is estimated that there are approximately two million people living with their partner today without having passed through the Civil Registry.

The growth indicators in the unions reflect that in Latin America, the ways of being sentimentally linked are changing in an accelerated manner.

This does not mean that men and women flee to the commitment, but that the matrimonial institution is not a condition "sine qua non" for the love . Or, it becomes a post-coexistence option.

More and more men and women around the world are looking for a partner on-line. This shows that love never goes out of fashion, only the ways of bonding change.

More couples, less marriages. Long live love, in whatever form. And you, do you prefer to enjoy your partner with marriage or without him? ?
