Scientists explain that a diet high in sugars lowers the levels of the hormone, so it affects erections and sexual appetite, because it increases the levels of triglycerides and decreases a protein called globulin linked to the sex hormone SHBG.
They explain that when this protein is reduced, the body suspends the production of testosterone.
