The analysis in the Sonora River reveals that the water contains high levels of aluminum (6.14 mg / L), arsenic (0.95 mg / L), cadmium (0.04 mg / L), copper (2.84 mg / L), iron (14 mg) / L), which are lethal to people.

According to National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC) , contamination by heavy or toxic metals causes damage to health that can endanger people's lives.
