Over the years, Mexicans have changed our eating habits, making our consumption of fiber less and less. That is why it is recommended to include the wheat bran in the diet daily

The current average consumption of fiber is 20 grams, when experts recommend that women and men consume 30 and 35 grams per day respectively.

The fiber helps absorb water and create volume, making it easier for the muscles of the digestive tract to move the contents along the path. This speeds up the passage of food through digestive system , helping to prevent constipation and inflammation .

Of the different types of saved , wheat has a higher concentration of dietary fiber, with 40%, while that of rice contains 13% and that of oats 18%.

Therefore, the natural fiber of wheat bran is currently the best source of fiber from cereals to measure primary effects on regularity, recognized by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the Ministry of Health of Canada .

Integral banana panqué

 

 

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of crushed banana (about 3 medium bananas)
2 tablespoons of milk
1 cup of All-Bran®
1/3 cup of softened butter or margarine
1/2 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 cups of wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 cup of chopped walnut

Preparation

Mix the banana, milk and All-Bran®; let stand 5 minutes or until the cereal softens.
In another bowl, add the butter with the sugar, add the eggs and continue to beat. Add the cereal with the banana and mix well. Add the sifted flour with the baking powder and add the nut.

Empty in a previously greased pancake mold and bake at 195ºC for approximately 50 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes before removing it from the mold.
