In an interview for GetQoralHealth, also a graduate professor in Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine, of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) , details that the most common symptoms of a stroke are:

 

  1. Alterations of the state of consciousness
  2. Decreased mobility of any body limb, either on the right or left side of the body
  3. Speech disorder
  4. Dificulty to walk

The specialist points out that it is important to go to the hospital as soon as some of these symptoms are registered, since "the sequels are horrible, because some patients are left with difficulty in speaking, walking", as well as vision and motor coordination.

The doctor Enrique Gómez Álvarez points out that to prevent a stroke you need to control hypertension and diabetes, reduce overweight and cholesterol, stop smoking and exercise.

"They are the same preventive measures that exist for a heart attack, because they are the same causes."
