How to help someone when they faint

If you are with someone who has just fainted, try to make sure that person is stretched on a horizontal surface, but avoid moving if you think you may have been injured by falling (moving an injured person may aggravate the injury).

Loosen any clothing that you tighten-in the case of men, such as belts, shirt collars or ties; in the case of women only the corset if it is the case- to help restore blood flow. Lifting your feet and calves by placing them on a backpack or jacket can also help restore blood flow to the brain.

Usually, when a person faints, he recovers very soon. Since it is normal to find yourself a little weak after fainting, make sure that the person remains stretched for a long time. Getting up too quickly may trigger another faint. Accompany her until she is able to move without risk.

If the person takes a considerable time to react, it is best to activate emergency services, since this fainting can be something much more serious and put the patient's life at risk. It is urgent that you receive adequate medical attention.
