How long is it advisable to breastfeed a baby?

Everyone knows that breastfeeding brings great benefits, not only to the baby, but to the mother. However, many of these come into conflict when it is not clear when it is "healthy" to stop breastfeeding their children.

An estimate of the age to stop breastfeeding a child ranges from 2 to 7 years, but Western culture tends to see the female breast as a sexual part, hence the problem that extended breastfeeding is criticized.

For Natalie McCain, creator of the project The Honest Body Project, standardizing extended breastfeeding is something that needs to be worked on.

I believe that people often unfairly judge what they do not understand. Some people will always criticize parenting options that are different from theirs. Exposure and education are the ways to change minds.

 

The baby does not realize that it has grown to the point of not having more breastfeeding. We make our children grow up too fast, breastfeed that baby in full term!

I wish I could relax more when I breastfeed my daughter in public.
