Although adults want children to learn, we limit their curiosity with phrases such as: "shut up", "leave that", "how do you ask questions", "do not have time", "stay still", which are usually products of an inadequate emotional handling of adults with respect to their children.

These expressions are messages that damage the emotional intelligence of children, affecting their self-esteem and self-confidence, which results in children, unconsciously, deciding to calm their healthy curiosity just to "please" the children. adults who are important in your life.

Another area where natural children's curiosity is also "crushed" or numbed is the school, where teachers oblige the students to "follow the rules", obeying the particular way of teaching of each teacher or only memorizing the information they must master for the exam.

In the school environment, there are educational projects that focus on identifying the potential of each of the students; In these schools the teachers guide them to find their talents, and help them to feed their curiosity to know the world to face the challenges of the future.

These methodologies convert the classroom into a Total Learning Space where children can awaken their curiosity, even through the use of technology in the classroom, with the aim of satisfying that great curiosity they have and learning better.

At home, these are some tips that parents can follow to avoid numbing the natural curiosity of their children:

  1. Accompany the children by focusing on them and their needs; This is possible when, as adults, we regulate ourselves and patiently devote time and attention.

  2. Allow them to explore using their 5 senses, as long as their safety and personal integrity are taken into account taking into account their age. Finally, it is true that we contact the world through sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste.
