Fiber reduces bad digestion by stress

Eating habits resulting from an accelerated routine, leads people to eat stress and consume foods high in fat. In fact, in Mexico, only 60% of the daily fiber recommendation is consumed, which promotes poor digestion and other disorders.

The intake of products rich in fats of animal origin and the low consumption of fiber, from fruits, vegetables or whole grains, represent a substantial problem that contributes, in addition to eating due to stress, to the appearance of overweight and obesity.

We might think that the state of mind has nothing to do with our digestion; However, this is not the case, the fact that we experience stress, sadness, worry or some other emotion is directly related to what happens in our digestive system and vice versa.

On the contrary, if the digestive system works correctly, all the substances that are produced there will be in balance and they will be able to handle better the emotions and unexpected situations that arise around us, causing stress eating, among other things.

And to all this, how can we keep our digestive system in good working order? Without a doubt, proper nutrition is the key to this:

1. Include foods rich in fiber such as vegetables, fruits and legumes such as beans, beans, chickpeas, among others.

2. The fiber of these foods has the ability to retain water and require greater chewing and salivation, thereby causing satiety, which helps control food intake and contributes to the regularization of digestion.

3. Studies from the University of Cardiff in the United Kingdom, concluded that people who ate foods with more fiber, had less emotional stress, less cognitive difficulties, more positive attitude and less depressive levels.

Currently we can engage in life routines full of stress, work and lack of habits that promote the care of our gastrointestinal tract, so it is a good time to think about your body and consume sources of fiber, such as cereals made with fiber of the wheat bran.
