Exercise produces anti-obesity hormone

The institute of Cancer Dana Farber published recently the discovery of the anti-obesity hormone; It is called irisin and is found in the muscles of the body.

The hormone occurs naturally when you perform physical activity on a regular basis for several weeks. The irisin carries a message of health from the muscles to the fat. It comes through the blood to the white fat cells (bad fat), and helps them to turn into brown fat (good fat).

Exercising is not only healthy for muscle mass, but for the entire body. However, it remained to discover what were the mechanisms by which physical activity improves the metabolism beyond the muscles.

With the constant practice of exercise, it increases its concentration, which translates into a greater calorie burn and therefore a considerable weight reduction.

This hormone, administered as a drug, could improve the treatment of people with obesity and diabetes.
