Eating disorders indicate mental problems

In one of the longest studies of its kind, it was revealed that the binge eating, or compulsive eating, is the most prevalent disorder among young people, followed by bulimia and anorexia, the Archives of General Psychiatry reports.
 

More than 10 thousand adolescents were interviewed in order to understand the food problems that affect them today. The data collected indicate that young people with eating disorders also suffer from another type of mental problems.
 

While some young people seek treatment for their problems, few seek help with respect to eating disorders , which were associated even with the risk of suicide .
 

The symptom of a teenager with a eating disorder They go beyond being late to school or being irreverent with their parents. It could even be a sign of another type of mental problem An eating disorder is a disease, since the young person can not change his habits with a simple order from the father.
 

The adolescent must be treated by a professional, a therapist or psychologist with the help of a nutritionist , that help him to amend the physical and emotional damages that led him to form his bad habits.
