Early pregnancy and emotional sequelae

According to National Council of the Population (CONAPO), in Mexico one of every six births in the country, occurs in women under 19 years old.

The pregnancy between girls and adolescents is considered, from the medical and social point of view, as a situation of health risk and the personal development of the mother, son and partner.

In women between 10 and 19 years old, it affects their life project, limits their possibilities of education , as well as its professional development Y economic .

The consequences of a early pregnancy affect both teenagers , as their families :

External relatives intervene in the Relationship and assume roles that do not correspond to them. 5. Theteenagers they feel guilt, remorse and low self-esteem for having failed parents.

From a psychosocial point of view, research shows that children of teenagers experience many more behavior problems and complications in the school .

In this sense, the pregnancy it must be a happy and meditated episode; however, for young people it usually becomes a tragedy, as well as for the future baby, parents, family and friends

Births from teenage mothers are still very high, which shows the inefficiency of the sex education imparted in recent years. Therefore, a greater culture of prevention is indispensable.
