In this regard, the nutritionist Martha Leticia Martínez Viveros , Coordinator of Nutrition Programs, in the Coordination of Integrated Health Programs of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), affirms that it is necessary to have a balanced diet, drink simple drinking water and perform daily, at least, 30 minutes of physical activity I exercise , to achieve prevent and control the overweight Y obesity :

"Otherwise, even if you drink a lot of water, you do not lose weight. There must be a change in lifestyles. However, Martínez Viveros, states that currently the population ingests a large amount of liquids added with simple sugars, such as soft drinks, industrialized juices, flavored milks, as well as sweetened-tasting water, which provide a large amount of kilocalories to the diet daily

On average, each 200 milliliters of these drinks could contain 20 grams of simple sugars; that is, 80 kilocalories per glass. In addition, we must count the sugar that is added to coffee, tea and other foods, such as cookies, chocolate or sweet bread, which favors the development of the overweight , obesity and other chronic diseases: "In adults, the percentage of body water varies between 60 and 70%, in such a way that it is a vital fluid for life",

Martinez nutritionist, clarified that through breathing, sweat, urine and feces, the body loses between two and a half to three liters of water: "To replenish that fluid loss, about a third is contributed by food, since everyone, whether a cookie or a slice of bread, contains a certain amount of water in its composition and, as part of its metabolism , proteins, carbohydrates and lipids, provide another amount of water ".
