Do not compare yourself with the others!

In Mexico, between 98 and 99% of spontaneous abortions that occur in the first trimester of pregnancy (before week 13) are caused by alteration or chromosomal incompatibility, says the doctor. Zigor Campos Goneaga, gynecologist and obstetrician with subspecialty in Perinatal Medicine .

Chromosomal incompatibility is a defect that affects the proper development of the embryo. Generally, this type of situation has no relation to the compatibility of the genes of the father or mother, the specialist details.

This alteration means that the ovum or sperm has the wrong number of chromosomes, so the fertilized egg can not develop normally.

Even Campos Goneaga points out that spontaneous abortions that occur in week five or six of pregnancy can pass unnoticed by the mother, because she had no knowledge and only noticed bleeding more abundant than normal.

"The first trimester of pregnancy is a bit like the law of all or nothing, that is, it continues in front of normal form or loses the pregnancy completely", details the member also active member of Mexican College of Specialists in Gynecology and Obstetrics (COMEGO).

Do not compare yourself with the others!

On the other hand, the doctor Zigor Campos recommends avoiding comparison with friends, family or close people who have lived this stage. "No pregnancy is the same as another, even in the same patient."

You should only pay attention to the possible warning signs that may arise and go to your doctor if you have any questions. For example, the specialist points out that the abnormal signs in pregnancy are bleeding, frequent menstrual pain or when urinating.

Try to live a quiet life during the gestation stage, eat properly and eat the recommended vitamins and minerals to strengthen your baby. Do not forget to take a medical checkup throughout the process to prevent complications!
