They are part of us, from the very day we are conceived in the womb of our mother; however, we are not aware of its existence, and the importance of each organ in our life, until they begin to fail; example, the pancreas.

The pancreas is a gland that measures approximately 15 centimeters and is located in the abdomen (surrounded by the stomach, small intestine, liver and spleen). It has two functions: to help the digestion of fats and to produce insulin, a hormone that regulates the level of sugar in the blood ", as described by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

This occurs at the moment when the digestive enzymes begin to digest the same pancreas.
This condition is divided into acute: it occurs suddenly, but disappears after a few days; Chronic: worsens over time and can lead to permanent damage.
