Discover your motivations to lose weight

To achieve the goals of our lives, all people have two basic motivations: to seek the pleasure and avoid pain. Therefore, until we discover what our true motives for losing are weight it is very likely that we go for a diet to another without obtaining results.

The pleasure instant eating a delicious cake can make us put aside the attempt to lose weight, and forget completely about the diet . In this way, so that we really reach the weight desired, we have to visualize our goal and to be clear in our minds what our reasons are for burning all the calories .

 

Let's do it!

Take some time break In a quiet place, reflect and answer these questions:

  1. What motivates me to change?
  2. What would be the signal that would allow me to see that this change was good for me?
  3. What are you going to be doing, what do you not do now?
  4. What needs to happen so that you think there has already been a solution?
  5. What makes you feel better?

When you reach your goal

  1. How will the relationship with your partner or your family change?
  2. Where would you be now?
  3. How did you get to that number?
  4. What would have to happen before you can upload another number?
  5. Establish a scale of one to 10 to evaluate your achievements, where one means that the problem is very serious, that you can not do it anymore; while the 10 represents that you can get ahead and make this change.
  6. Create short-term goals: What changes do you think there will be in your relatives or close people if they see you upload a number?
  7. How much disposition do you have to solve this problem?

Find solutions for the future

We are going to suppose that you finish all your activities of the day and that it begins to get dark, you go to sleep and in the middle of the night a miracle happens: the problem that worries you so much has been solved, but like you are sleeping; you have no idea that this happened. When you wake up:

  1. What would be the first sign that would make you realize that a miracle happened at night?
  2. What other things would make you realize that you have changed?
  3. Now that you have reached your goal? What changes do you see in your life? What are you doing differently?

Search details

If you know the details you can interrupt the cycle that makes you lose the way to your goal. So ask yourself:

  1. How did you do it?
  2. If you want to lose weight think: What are the things you do during the day, in which you control what you eat?
  3. Analyze what you did the day you met your diet . How did you do to eat well all day, did you have many opportunities to eat badly, did not you? What worked for you?
  4. Now that you feel more smiling and happy, wanting to go out and do exercise , How did you do it? What are the steps that follow?

 

Evaluation

Once you have answered the questions above, reflect for a few moments:

  1. What are you doing that is good, positive and healthy for you?
  2. You may be eating vegetables or maybe you are doing exercise biweekly
  3. Each week ask yourself this question. What has improved in my life?
  4. What do those around me think about this change?

Praise yourself, because you are a person with a lot of courage, it is not easy to have made the decision to change. You have analyzed the situation very carefully and you know that when you do a certain action you feel better. And that you have the solution in your hands.
