Cream of lettuce with walnut

Lettuces are a very versatile vegetable because you can use them in salad, to accompany your favorite dishes, give a fresh touch to a hamburger, complement your can of tuna, prepare masks, as a snack in the afternoon or enjoy it in a rich cream recipe of lettuce and walnut.

In accordance with Fresh Garden In Mexico there are different types of lettuce, but the best known are the so-called "baby", which provides fiber, carbohydrates and proteins to the body and contains vitamin A and potassium; it can be eaten raw or cooked.

Meanwhile, Sucrine lettuce is low in calories and rich in vitamin A and C. It can be eaten fresh in salads, or cooked in a large number of dishes.

Ingredients

  1. A baby lettuce
  2. Half butter bar
  3. A cup of flour
  4. A cup of milk
  5. Walnut to taste
  6. Water

Preparation
Wash your lettuce well and reserve it. Prepare a white sauce with butter, flour and milk, first melting the butter and mixing the ingredients well.

Blend the lettuce washed with the nuts. Gradually add this preparation to the white sauce you have in the saucepan. Season with salt and pepper. If it is very thick you can add a little water. You can decorate it with some leaves of parsley or two halves of walnut. Enjoy your meal!
