Chickenpox spreads less by the sun

According to a study by researchers of the University of London, it was determined that the risk of contagion of chickenpox is less common in regions with high levels of UV rays ; that is, where high temperatures predominate due to the sun.

The virus ofchickenpox It is usually very contagious, and it spreads through coughs and sneezing in the early stages of infection. The main source is the contact with the eruption of blisters, marks and spots.

To learn about some recommendations for an outbreak of this disease, here at GetQoralHealth we present a video of Dr. Julio Befani, Department of Epidemiology of Santa Fe, Argentina:

The key to stop the spread of thechickenpox It is the continuous exposure to solar rays. Ultraviolet light can inactivate viruses in the skin, so in tropical countries the risk of infection from person to person is lower, informed one of the people in charge of the study, Dr. Phil Rice.

However, they warn that other factors such as pollution, humidity and living conditions that affect their spread must be considered, as well as the consequences of exposure toUV rays  .
