In a study applied to 48 thousand men for 10 years, it was discovered that men with gout have a 31% higher risk of suffering erectile dysfunction, than men who do not have that condition.

The problem is that the penis can get joint problems that get worse over time, so up to 63% of men in the study, reported problems of firmness in their erection.

Influential factors

The relationship between gout and erectile dysfunction is related to smoking, obesity, body mass index and excessive alcohol consumption.

The accumulation of plaques in the blood vessels is what hinders blood flow, and this is a very important component to obtain an erection.

So it is advisable to go to the doctor before any suspicion that this problem may be occurring.
