Caution with the black waters of the Xochiaca board

A piece of news that has alerted the different instances of the Mexico state and of the Mexico City is the overflow of the channel Board of Xochiaca , due to the abundant rainfall that has hit the metropolitan area; which caused floods in some colonies of the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl and its border with the Federal District. This fact has caused the warning bulbs to light up because, if not attended to in time, it can have repercussions on the Health of the inhabitants of this area.

The term residual water defines a type of water that is polluted with faecal substances and urine, coming from human or animal organic waste. Its importance is such that it requires systems of channeling, treatment and eviction. Its null or improper treatment generates serious pollution problems .

The areas near the canal are exposed to multiple gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases (by inhalation of toxic substances) detonated by the pollutants that float in the environment caused by, not only the stagnation but of the dirt which in itself prevails in these waters.

That is why it is urgent extreme precautions , so the authorities of Civil protection and of the Health Secretary of both entities are getting to work. For now, if you live in that area, try not to stay longer than the necessary time, as difficult as this may sound, so you will avoid being in contact with this focus of infections . Keep an eye on the indications given by the corresponding instances. Take care of your health, it's the most important thing!
