Capers tea vs. liquid retention

The capers vegetables are a very particular flavor, close to that of an olive, with a high nutritional content beneficial to health, so they are used in many culinary preparations, as well as to prevent and reduce fluid retention.

In addition to being used in many culinary preparations, as part of different diets, capers are a healthy option to lose weight because their properties allow to reduce fluid retention by stimulating diuresis in the kidneys.

In this regard, a study of Oxford University , reveals that capers have properties against the retention of liquids through a tea or infusion, which also stimulates a greater loss of body fat.

Among its nutritional values, capers have sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron and vitamins, as well as a high level of flavonoids, antioxidants that favor the reduction of cholesterol and stop the oxidation of cells, causing premature aging.

In this way, from the caper you can prepare an infusion or diuretic tea to eliminate liquids. In a container with 1 liter of water, place 50 grams approximately of the caper root; boil for 15 minutes and then let it cool. Strain the liquid before drinking it, for a maximum of 3 times a day, before each food.

It is important to keep in mind that the weight lost will be based on liquids and not fat, so it is important that this tea is consumed as part of a balanced diet or a diet to lose weight advised by a nutritionist.
