Bono and his photophobia

Sir Paul David Hewson , better known as Bond and who is a reference in music and society for the philanthropic work that he has been doing for years, he confessed that his taste for glasses is due to the fact that they are part of his personality and the style of the rock band that leads : U2 .

The second reason and perhaps the most transcendent, is because Bond have a problem of sensitivity to light; the flashes bother him a lot, as they damage the retina of his eyes.

In fact, in the magazine Rolling Stone In 2005, Bond stated that if he receives directly the flash light it is a sensation of discomfort and flash, which lasts all day, his eyes redden; the right eye swells and does not have good visibility.

What is solar sensitivity?

The photophobia also known as sensitivity to light or sensitive eyes , is a very common symptom that, in many people, is not caused by any disease.

The photophobia Severe can be associated with eye problems and triggers intense eye pain, even in relatively low light.

Possible causes

1. Excessive use of contact lenses or use of bad contact lenses.
2. Illness, injury or ocular infection.
3. Burns in the eyes.
4. Common migraine.
5. Meningitis.
6. Iritis (inflammation inside the eye)
7. Corneal abrasion.
8. Drugs such as amphetamines, atropine, iclopentolate, idoxyuridine, phenylephrine, scopolamine, trifluridine, tropicamide and vidarabine.
