Blurred vision by frequent use of monitor

Nowadays, most jobs force us to spend a lot of time sitting in front of a monitor for more than six hours a day. However, there are also sequelae of being stuck to a monitor for more than three hours.

In doing so, you run the risk of suffering from eye and vision problems, better known as Computer Syndrome , which is capable of damaging not only the functionality of the eyes, but also decreases work performance.

According to the ophthalmologist Juan Carlos Bravo, "in trying to focus on the object, the eye muscles strain. This increases in those who present astigmatism , myopia , farsightedness or presbyopia ”.

All these factors cause difficulty to see up close, blurred vision and irritation in the eyes, giving rise to conjunctivitis .

Take it into account

1. Place the monitor below eye level; from 10 to 20 degrees of inclination.

2. Keep a distance of at least 50 centimeters between the screen and your eyes.

3. It is recommended that you use Protection glasses or antireflective.

4. By every 40 minutes in front of a computer, you should rest five minutes , looking at objects that are more than six meters away.

Remember that some features of this syndrome is that the person in front of the screen (monitor) must constantly focus to maintain the defined image.
