Beware of bruises!

How many times did you get a bruise on your body without you having received a knock ? Believe it or not, there are rare causes of bruising, so it is very important that you check your body and your Health constantly.

According to the National Library of Medicine of the United States , a bruise or hematoma occurs when blood vessels rupture and blood runs under the skin.

According to the health site of British Columbia, in Canada , normally, a bruise appears when you hit, suffer a sports injury, a car accident or received blows; however, there are other unusual causes such as the following:

1. Taking anticoagulants . The intake of medications such as acetylsalicylic acid or warfarin, favors the appearance of bruising.

2. Infection . The accumulation of toxins in the blood or tissues causes bruising.

3. Bleeding disorders . Some diseases cause bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, thrombocytopenia, lupus, cirrhosis, leukemia or multiple myeloma

4. Nutrient deficiency Lack of vitamins B12, C, K or folic acid.

5. Genetics . If your parents develop bruises it is normal to get bruises very easily.

6. Age . As people get older the skin becomes thinner and the layer of fat that cushions bruises is reduced.

The bruises they can disappear between two weeks or in a few months. They start with a reddish color, then turn violet blue and greenish yellow; before returning to normal coloring.

If they appear bruises For no reason, it is best to go to the doctor to rule out a health problem, especially if you have pain, inflammation or there is redness, discharge or fever.
