The practice of yoga as a complement to training, the same as runners do, it allows them to do their physical exercise all their lives, without hurting themselves. According to the international instructor, Fernanda Domínguez, this must be invaluable for runners:

The objective of Yoga Runners is to strengthen the body in strategic areas such as the abdomen, torso and arms so as not to give all the weight to the legs; stretch the muscles more tense, in addition to correct the alignment and body postures.

For example, the sun salutation is a sequence of asanas (postures) that help strengthen and stretch the body. These provide balance and energy to the body.

 

Goal of Yoga Runner

The idea is to take the student, by means of clear and precise instructions to the postures of maximum degree of stretching. In this method there is awareness of the different bodies and flexibility limitations of each person.

Therefore, props or aid attachments such as belts, blocks of wood and blankets are used to help those parts of the body that work the most.
