A study of National University of Distance Education (UNED) suggests that women are more empathetic than men because they have a greater facility to prove it.

In the investigation, published in the Child Psychiatry & Human Development , it is detailed that men and women have the same level of empathy, however, they manifest it without inhibition.

The scientists analyzed the cases of 721 Spanish adolescents, between 9 and 16 years of age. Through the tool known as Interpersonal Reactivity Index to evaluate their mental, emotional and capacity to feel what another individual experiences.

After the analysis, it was discovered that women have a lower level of impassivity, that is, ability to prevent any external stimulus from altering their mood.

In this way, the levels of antisocial and aggressive behavior that males have and that are incompatible with empathy can be directly related.
