This disorder, which affects more girls between 6 and 17 years old, is characterized by an intense fear to new circumstances or events, accompanied by sweating on the hands, headaches, stomach aches, tremors and tachycardia, according to the specialist.

The treatment must be approached from several perspectives: the parents will be able to inform themselves and intervene adequately in the home, besides providing support and security to the children; intervention in the school environment through friends and teachers, and professional, the psychotherapy will determine the factors that cause the changes and fears.

If the depressive symptoms are very intense, pharmacological medication is added that does not generate addiction and is temporary, and also serves as a complement to the therapy.
