Actors will have quality psychiatric medical care

The National Institute of Psychiatry "Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz" (INPRFM), signed a collaboration agreement with the National Association of Actors (ANDA), which aims to provide Attention specialized medical to the members of this association and their relatives who so require.

The agreement was signed by the general director of INPRFM, María Elena Medina Mora Y Silvia Pinal , General Secretary of the ANDA, as well as María Rojo , Secretary of Social Security, and as an honorable witness, Juan Ramón de la Fuente Ramírez , president of the International Association of Universities.

During the ceremony that took place at the facilities of the INPRFM, the general director of the institute explained that there is 11 specialty clinics where the most common pathologies that occur in the population such as: bipolarity, schizophrenia, eating disorders, personality and addictions, among others.

Medina Mora, pointed out that this agreement is very important for the institute since it will make it possible to combat stigma what about the Mental illness in the country.

"If public people such as actors speak openly of this type of alterations, the population will begin to understand that it is a disease like any other and most importantly, go to the doctor to receive care early," he said.

On the other hand, the General Secretary of the ANDA, Silvia Pinal, mentioned that for this association the attention of the mental health of its members is important, hence the offspring of this agreement that will allow the community of actors to access specialized medicine in one of the most prestigious institutions in the country

In her speech María Rojo, Secretary of Social Welfare of ANDA, said that this agreement is an excellent option of attention for this union, because emotions play a fundamental role in their work , situation that at a given moment, can affect your mental health.

He said that, like the majority of the population, the actors are exposed to stress, to pictures of anguish, depression or in some cases to addiction.

Given this panorama, he said, it was necessary to have psychiatric medical services , which will be of great help to the guild and their families.

Finally, Juan Ramón de la Fuente Ramírez, president of the International Association of Universities, highlighted the role that INPRFM has played in the field of health care. mental health in the country , to be an expert in human resources and to develop cutting-edge research protocols.
