Accelerate your metabolism with cardiovascular exercise

Apparently the people who perform cardiovascular exercise they tend to eat more calories for an hour, because their metabolism it is accelerated and they need "extra food" to get into balance.

In this regard, the magazine Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, published in April 2011, a study in which it was found that the body consumes around 37% more calories, after a session of cardio intense.

The explanation of this bodily process is not yet clear, but the researchers pointed out that the answer may be related to the replacement of glycogen (a polysaccharide of energy reserve, which is formed by branched chains of glucose ) or with the consumption of fat as an energy source.

However, the study points out that it is beneficial for the metabolism continue to accelerate for more hours, even if you eat "extra" calories, because the body will burn them more easily and will not accumulate extra fat.
