Do you spend hours in front of the TV but do you always feel lazy giving 15 minutes to take care of your mouth? Follow these simple tips and you and those around you will notice a huge difference in the appearance of your mouth .
1. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Remember that brushing your teeth before going to bed is one of the most important actions to enjoy a healthy life. If you do it every night you will avoid many infections and health problems.
2. Use a soft toothbrush, which preferably has a rounded shape at the tips of the bristles and the head is small enough to reach all areas of the teeth and mouth. Replace your brush every 3 or 4 months .
3. Place the brush at a 45-degree angle, exactly where the teeth meet the gums . Press firmly and gently move the brush from top to bottom in circular movements. Do not rub much. Brushing with a lot of force can separate the gums from the teeth and this could scratch your enamel.
4. Brush the entire surface of the teeth, tongue and cheeks . Pay special attention to the front of the teeth and the entire surface of the teeth.
5. Brush your tongue very well from the back to the front. Some people add a little toothpaste on the brush to do it. Brushing the tongue helps prevent bacterial plaque which is the cause of bad breath . Some brushes already have bristles or specific material to be used on this area.
6. Uses floss at least once a day. The type of brand you choose is not very significant. Choose a brand and a flavor that you like.
7. There are many techniques to make good use of dental floss. One of the easiest is to cut a piece of thread about 30 cm and make a knot at the end joining the two ends to form a circle. This will be helpful when passing the thread between the teeth and to avoid hurting your gums trying to reach the most distant places.
8. Carefully floss between the teeth towards the gums. Try to fold the thread between each tooth forming the U shape and slide it according to the shape of your gums from top to bottom to remove the formed plate. If your gums bleed a little when doing so, the blood will go disappearing over time when your gums are healthier.
