5 foods that look like vegetarians, but they are not

There are different ways to make a healthy vegetarian diet. If you are starting in this type of nutrition we recommend checks foods that look vegetarian before consuming them, and thus avoid all of those of animal origin mainly, and that way you can take care of and enjoy the benefits they have on your health.

 

Non-vegetarian foods

 

In accordance with The Daily Green , there are many foods that look vegetarian , But they are not. Here we present five of them.

 

1. Honey: Although it is a natural sweetener, it is of animal origin since it is produced by bees.

 

2. Beer: Sometimes this drink is filtered in fish bladder gelatins, egg white or seashells.

 

3. White sugar: The People's corporation for the ethical treatment of animals (PETA) , sugar is sometimes processed with charred bones.

 

4. Bread: While many breads contain (flour, yeast, water and salt) some others are prepared with buttermilk, butter, eggs and sugar.

 

5. Dressing for salads: Salads are excellent for vegetarians, but dressings commonly contain lecithin which can be derived from animal tissues and egg yolk. If you want to give more flavor to your salad you can look for those that are based on soy or soy.

 

How to start a healthy diet

 

The Spanish Vegetarian Union (UVE) , list some important points to start a healthy diet based on vegetarian food, it is recommended:

 

1. Increase the consumption of vegetables: Do not leave suddenly all that you are used to eating.

 

2. Discover new recipes and natural foods. It will help you strengthen your interest.

 

3. Make a list of vegetarian dishes that you can eat outside your home and even in a restaurant.

 

4. Eliminate the meat of your breakfast

 

While your diet is varied and healthy, you can easily cover the amount of protein you need to consume. Remember to include a wide variety of whole grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts, and concentrate positively on the foods that will be good for your health, and not on those that you will stop eating or even those foods that look vegetarian .
