1 out of every 3 Mexicans with mental illness

According to the head of the National Institute of Psychiatry Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Dr. Maria Elena Teresa Medina, one in three people in Mexico suffer from mental illness throughout their lives.

Within these are not only psychiatric illnesses such as schizophrenia , but also the depression , bipolarity , anxiety , drug addiction , among other.

In an interview for GetQoralHealth , Dr. Medina Mora, points out that each time the period in which a person can present disorders of anxiety or chronic stress , since now it is the children who present these emotional changes:

"On average, at age 7, boys and girls start to experience a lot anxiety and periods of sadness as the depression , because of the pressure of their parents and because of school failure ".

In this sense, the public official clarified that it is essential for parents to improve their communication with their children; in the family nucleus where the values ​​are formed:

"We must learn to control and manage our emotions. It is essential that we channel our energies and know how to control the failures that are part of life. "
