1. Apply ice

Cover your knee with a towel and place ice on it for 15 minutes only. Three to four times for 2 or 3 days.

 

2. Rest

If you do physical activity, reduce or avoid it while you have the problem. Try not to stand for too long, and if you have to do it rest the affected knee for periods.
